Wanted: Deeper exhaust tone

Hi, just joined the forum, I thought I might get some good answers here:

I really like the sound of old brit iron, and would like my -79 XS 650 roadster to sound more like that. I found a youtube clip with a sound not too far off : - and I wonder if I have to get that particular muffler/silencer to get a similar sound from my xs, or if I should try fitting BSA/Bonneville mufflers. My XS:
Any suggestions ?

Just fit stock '75 mufflers...

I have a 75' and its hard to gauge just how these original mufflers will sound if you find a pair. my stock exhaust had a nice low tone to it but the baffles were all burnt out so its hard to say what it would've sounded like brand new. I don't think you can go wrong with a good set of reverse cone megaphones, they seem to always sound great on these bikes.
