Not on mine, all the holes were the same size as the axle. I actually bought a replacement set from mikesxs.net and the axle size wasn't correct on any of the holes. I like the idea of the stone grinder bit on the drill. That should work. Thanks! =)

I got it to 108.5 very easily. I have no idea what you are talking about it not being possible.

I was using 108.5 ft lb. Per the manual. Eased it back to 75 per a youtube video I saw.

Yeah, I ordered some replacements from mikesxs.com... they were pointy but very weak bolts. I'd rather grind a deeper groove so I know they absolutely won't go anywhere.

I have a scissor jack for a car. That's about it. Is there any cheap, reliable way to jack the front of my bike up so I can change the front tire and bearings without knocking it over? :banghead: I'm sure this is kind of a dumb questions but I haven't really seen any good DIY solutions...

I can barely read my back tire and I can't read anything on my front. I have a 1981 Yamaha XS650 Special II. I want to know... A) What size tire do I need for the front and the rear? B) Do I need a tube or a tubeless design tire? Thanks! :shrug:

1981 Yamaha XS650. On the pilot box there is a light for the turn signal to indicate when it is on. It's a 158 bulb. My bike has a LED system for the rear tail lights, obviously not stock. I did not wire them. The bulb for the turn signal indicator was missing when I opened the pilot box...

I'm glad I have a turn signal indicator, I have to replace that one too then... I did replace that meter light bulb but it didn't do anything... is there anything special that activates it? Or is it just always on? I'd like to get all this stuff going. =)

Hey retiredgentleman, There were two bulbs in the tach. One was obviously the high beam indicator. What is the other one? I was hoping it was a turn signal indicator but am thinking maybe it's a red-line warning indicator. Do you know what that second bulb is?
