I am selling a bike I just finished building a couple weeks ago. It is a 1980 Yamaha xs650 with 14,000 original miles. Most everything on the bike I made. The following items are new: chain, air filters, oil filter, clutch cable, throttle cable, brake lines, front master cylinder, headlight...

I only posted on here a couple of times, but I just finished up chopping my first xs650 and thought I would share with you guys. Here are some pics:

The battery is new I just bought it about 2 weeks ago. I just finished building the bike and wanted to keep only what was needed to run. So, I got rid of the electric start and it is kick only and there is only a headlight (which is one of the small lights next to the headlight from a harley)...

Those are the readings I get with only the taillight on. If I turn on the headlight I get a reading of about 10 and it continually drops till it dies when at idle.

How do I tell if I need to replace them?

I have not posted on here before, but I have an electrical problem and I need help. I have a 1980 xs650 and when the bike is running at idle it is not charging the battery. I put the voltmeter on at idle and it reads 12.6, but when I give it some gas and raise the rpm it starts charging and...
