Yes I check when engine is cold. It is fine now. Made sure to to set on same point each time. You rotate just a touch past then it changes. Did not realize how touchy it was. I'm set for .003 on intake and .006 on exhaust for my 1975. How much noise should one expect from valves at spec...

Yes..set at tdc compression stroke..rotate..do exhaust side..go to other cylinder..set to tdc on compression etc

1975 engine..setting inlet at .004 and exhaust at. 006. Ride for a day and not at spec. I set cam tensioner first then valves. Any ideas

From my time of riding it the clutch did not slip. Crank the gas and bike will lurch forward but feels like over reviving and high gibes.

Wanted to add that garb jetting is good. Bike will start tight up...idle and tun great but just wont go fast enough. I took for ride it it runs great to about 50ish. You can give it more gas and wants to go more but feels like it'd too high of rev

My buddies XS will not do 55mph. Set timing chain..valves and checked timing. Advance looks fine too. Has pamco ignition. I also took off pox filter and no change. Hes going out of his mind
