My buddies XS will not do 55mph. Set timing chain..valves and checked timing. Advance looks fine too. Has pamco ignition. I also took off pox filter and no change. Hes going out of his mind

I've checked for spark and have it. Bike will not start and the plugs are dry. I've checked the main and pilot and both are clear. I do know that the carb is getting gas cause I can see it and the bowl was full. Can it be a timing issue? Any ideas?
Looking for a Dual Output Coil for my bike that works with Pamco. Don't really want to spend $14 shipping on a $76 coil from Mikes. I had a ground wire come loose on my last ride and burn out previous coil.

Bike runs great under acceleration but when going in a 30mph zone I have to keep on the gas cause the bike kinda lurches or hops. But will stop if I pull the clutch in. Kinda like hitting the brakes every few seconds. Doesn't seem like a correct engine brake.
