Am I missing one of my nuts?

Thanks all. I’ll have to dig through the boxes of parts that came with this bike to see if the guard and harness clip are there. I’ll figure something out if not

Am I missing one of my nuts?

Excellent, thanks. I probably haven’t noticed before because there’s normally a chain in front of it.

Am I missing one of my nuts?

Never noticed this before but there’s an exposed thread with no nut on it behind the front sprocket. A quick google came up with a mixed bag of nuts and no nuts, should there be one on there?

    Chain rub on swing arm.

Chain adjustment intervals will vary with riding conditions/style somewhat. For clean road use I'd expect several thousand km's between adjustments. Re the chain guide - hose won't last long at all. I've heard of nylon cutting board being attached using the threaded hole in the top of the...

    1980 XS650 Cafe Build

Looking good. Any issues with chain rub on the top of the swingarm for your first ride out? I'm playing with rear heights for my Special cafe build at the moment but probably not looking to go as tall in the rear as yours is. Stock forks lowered 2" and probably 350mm shocks in my case.

    Sump Filter - Cover Removal

Mine was stuck on with some sort of gasket goo when I bought it. Couple of decent blows with a rubber mallet and it popped right off. The PO had snapped the head off one of the bolts so I guess he was worried it would leak. Once the cover was off I was able to wind the offending bolt out with a...

    Girards Build!

    Mikes mini gauges

I'm interested to see how you get on if you decide to attempt a colour change. I've just bought an XS that has the same issue. I emailed MikesXS this week to see if they could offer any pointers re pulling the gauges apart but alas they could not.
