Anyone know how difficult it is to rebuild a crank assembly and how much in parts it would cost. Is there any specialist tools required to do the job ? It's a 447.- oxygeneuk

Thanks for your help. I will clean paint off crankcases and see what I can find. I've now found a rotor and generator etc which I should receive this week. Will also check out the timing chain adjuster. Stripped the top end off today as I was told the bottom end had a knock. Sure enough . ...- oxygeneuk

Help / Advice needed . . . XS 650 1983 Special Heritage
Can anyone assist. Just bought a XS 650 engine. Apparently it came out of a 1983 xs650 Special Heritage model. Can anyone tell me where the engine numbers are stamped on the xs engine. Also I need to get a rotor and generator. Behind the left cover, all I have is a bare crank end showing. Seems...- oxygeneuk
