It will shift through the gears never driven it got it as a basketcase pretty much. Motor will run but needs work due to leaking manifolds and dirty carbs (i have new intake manifolds) starts first kick. Also the electric starter works too.

my bike accepts the side hinged seat pan. sooooo im fucked?

I have an 1980 special II and the seat and pan are junk! I bought a seat off of ebay that looked like it would fit perfect except the brackets are all wrong turns out it fits an (82? heritage special) is there any advise you guys can give to make it fit?

hey ron well she's not missing any major parts. im waiting on a manual on/off petcock right now then need to derust the tank.

With all luck she wont need to have a motor rebuild yet.

Thanks for the advise guys. Ive ruled out the dyno the. Ill just get her to run really good and hopefully she will sound nice with just taking the baffles out
