The self canceling unit can be intermittent itself. Mine worked at times and also went on to long or cut out when stationary. It is one of the features i recommend to remove. If it is working ok then don't, till it doesn't

Hubs from 73-81 are the same. Don't see any reason why the early 74-76 covers won't fit the later years. TX750 hubs also interchange with the 650, their rotor blank is alloy.

On my 83SK the light would come on after turning it over with either, electric or kick start, if the engine didn't fire. I would turn the key off and on again to kill the light before trying to start it again so the battery wasn't trying to start the bike with the extra drain while the light was on.
