    Turn Signal Wiring

I the description of all of those flashers it says, flash rate is not affected by load variation. Those must all have the heated wire in them. It doesn't make sense that it will flash after the module and not before. If that were on a car the flasher would be before the module. In a car...

    Turn Signal Wiring

There are two types of two pin flashers, standard, this one uses currnet draw to heat the bimetal arm. It needs to have enough draw to heat up and flash. The other is a heavyduty flafer, this one has a heating coil built in and will flash reguardless of current draw. What ever type you have, i...

    EBay, WTF?

In any auction, Ebay or live, you have to keep your head and know what the real value of the item you're bidding on. People get carried away and pay too much. I think that's what some sellers on ebay count on.

    EBay, WTF?

It's not limited to XS stuff, this guy has been listing these same bolts for at least 6 months... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Moto-Guzzi-1970s-valve-cover-bolts-/390225105493?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5adb3a9255 You'ld think he'd get the measage.

Front end and Brake upgrade question...

I saw those too, I'm talking about a complete bike. I figured 100.00 for the forks then rotors, calipers, axle and or wheel it would add up. If I buy a whole bike I can take what i need, maybe use the rear wheel too and strip and sell the rest.

Front end and Brake upgrade question...

I'm doing a cafe job on my 82 XS. I'd like to upgrade the front suspension and brakes. In the tech section it looks like an FZ600 front end could work. I found an 87 on flea bay in my area that needs work, current bid is $511.00. My question is, am I making a forward move or lateral? I know I...

Thanks, great ideas so far. These are the two bikes I've built. The sidecar rig is 15 years old now and the V7 Sport is in a private collection. I am doing another Sport now but, this XS project has seriously distracted me. The new issue of Cafe Racer came today and there are more photos to get...

    Input Needed

Ok, so I got caught up in the "Cafe Racer" whirlwind and went out and bought the first cheap XS650 I could find locally. I found a 1980 with around 9000 miles on it about 99% there and I had it running in about 2 hours. My plan was to build a "cafe" bike but, after I stripped it down the 19"...
