Yep put too much 5w20 on & it’s too thick & leaks out. Noticed several mix w/gas. Has anybody tried mixing oil w/kerosene in spray bottle to solve this?
Everything came in. Removed seat & tank. Installed tygon hoses. Clamps from JBM were pretty large so got smaller ones at Autozone. Carbs still falling out. Turning new carb holders so large side was at bottom made no difference. Still considering strapping carbs to engine or frame for support...
Waiting on new carb holders, gaskets & clamps from JBM, Tygon fuel line & angled foam air filters based on recommendations from here. Anyone have carb to frame strap pictures they have installed to support the carbs? Plan to remove tank & do all at one time. Thanks for the suggestions.
Anybody got ideas for smaller one for street tracker? Or maybe one that’s offset just a little? Manifolds being replaced & would like to solve this at same time.
Just back from short ride to beach before WX moves in. Engine started running rough. Fresh non ethanol gas, new plugs, air filters clean. Besides rechecking plugs & using carb cleaner, what else should I check?
Planning to use for parking in garage by mounting to 3/4 plywood that’s maybe slipped under large tool chest. Used one from HF years ago for bigger bike that didn’t work too good. Will I be able to use rear trackside mount with it for chain cleaning etc?
Any suggestions for softening the ride on my 76 yo butt with no padding? Was able to slip in 1cm gel pad under cover & re-glue but still too stiff. Know I won’t get sofa ride of ED seat on the road star. Thinking maybe strap on external pad for now. Will probably wind up re-upholstery with...
She came with Pirelli MT66 119/90-19 front & 130/90-16 rear. Ok for now but would like to replace soon. These appear discontinued/out of stock. Recommendations for new. I run Michelins on the Road Star & they’ve always been good.
Sprained my ankle pretty bad when bike kicked back yesterday evening. Ordered $100 Yaesu battery. Hope that fixes electric start problem. Won't be kick starting for awhile.
Oct 6,7,8. Anybody on here going? Supposed to have special display of Japanese Vintage Bikes this year. Always a good time & the museum is well worth the trip. Leeds, AL just outside Birmingham.
Just found you guys. 950 mile round trip & 2 SS checks, I’m new owner of 78 street tracker. First carburetor kick starter in more than 50 years, I’ll definitely need help. Thanks for being here. How do I post a picture?
