I would like to use K&N air filters on my 650B (1975), but they don't make one for this model year. Would the ones for 1976-79 fit on 75 somehow? If they don't fit, can I swap the filter box to the one from 76-79?

On my stock XS650B, I have done the idle mixture adjustment using the dead cylinder method. I had to turn in 1/4 or more from original setting specified by the manual in order to get maximum rpm attainable. Is this normal amount of adjustments? I'm in SO FL, almost sea level. Checked OEM...
