was running fine until today..cuts out under throttle dies when stopped at idle

Problem was the new rotor. Installed the old rotor that doesn't charge and it ran great. So I will be sending it out to be warrentied. Just worried the new one will have the same problem...we will see.

was running fine until today..cuts out under throttle dies when stopped at idle

Yes, the battery is newer and is fully charged and it is charging properly. Buss fuses have been converted already and I have tried swapping out the cdi box with a used good one with no difference. The magnet is worth a shot.

Ok, so I am having this issue. Bike was running great then bam, started sputtering lie crazzy off idle. But with the reg//rec unplugged it runs great... what does this mean? I had replaced the charging rotor about 100 miles previously. A new unit from tc bros..I think..

1978 XS650 Custom Build, The Dirty Dizon

Looking good! As for your rear fender strut issue, I had a hard time with it as well. I didn't want to run one at all but the vibrations left me no choice. I ended up putting a upper brace about half way up and tried to keep it under the seat and out of sight as much as possible.I also paint the...

    Suddenly won't rev at all

Ok, so the plug that I unplug on the left side of the has 7 wired and goes to the regulator rectifier CDI unit mounted to the frame, that cures my sputtering issues completely. If I plug it back in and unplug the one going to the tci under the battery tray, it wont even start. So I pulled the...

    Suddenly won't rev at all

I am havingthis same issue with my 81. I thought at first it was carb related, so I tore them apart and didn't find much. So. I put them back in and when I started it up it ran great! But I then noticed my headlight was not working. I found a plug on the left side came undone during my carb...

    Visual Impact BRAT KITS

Not much clearance at all, the fender is mounted to the swingarm, so it moves with the tire. On big bumps the fender would rub a back of the seat a little, nothing to worrie about though.

All lights, signals, brakes work. Front brakes can use a bleed which I will do today, since I've been meaning to do it since I've owned the bike. I don't see why it wouldn't pass inspection. Where abouts will you be coming from?
