I have a set of opened but not used FA11 brake pads. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong model year online and I can't return them. I paid $20 for them, I'll let them go for a whopping $5 plus shipping.
I know what the two wires are, mine just doesn't have two at the rear. The ground is apparently built into the turn signal since it contacts the frame.
Either way, I got it fixed. After checking everything I could think of, I just started replacing the bullet connectors one by one and...
Yes the bike has a turn signal cancel switch. I also took the switch apart to look at the solder connections which were clean and secure. I have resigned to the fact that there has to be a short somewhere. Something else odd is that my bikes wiring appears to be stock, but most diagrams I've...
Electrical sucks. After messing with it for hours all I know is that when the working blinker is on, the relay clicks continuously. The other side clicks once and lights up the front constant and not the rear at all. I am so frustrated.
The bulb is good, and the battery and charging system check out. I'll have to dig deeper into the switch and check all the hidden connections. Thanks for the help guys, I'll let you know what it was when I'm blinking again.
So, I know for a fact (I have video) that my turn signals worked properly the other day. However, when I pulled into my driveway after a decent ride, I noticed that when I turn on the left turn signal, the front signal stays solid while the rear does nothing. The right signal works properly...
To be honest, all I know about the shocks is that they are not the original shocks from the bike and that they are functional. They came as spares with the bike I bought. I do not believe that they are stock, but stock style replacements.
*edit* I should have said that I know for a fact that...
Is anyone aware of any good alternatives to MikesXS for ordering parts? It seems like all the parts I want are back ordered with no relief in sight. I'm not a fan of Ebay much since it seems like everyone there is out to rip people off or ship incomplete kits, packages, etc. I'm looking for a...
rear pegs $10
windscreen $25
shocks $25
Speedometer $5 (not sure if it works, it's a gamble)
handlebars $20
prices do not include shipping, buyer pays for shipping of choice.
I just picked up a beautiful '82 Heritage Special and I am looking to make a few changes to the style. I'd like to get my hands on some 35mm clip ons, nothing special. I am pretty picky when it comes to the cafe seat and tank, so anyone who has these, please post pics. As far as the speedo...
I spit out a bit of my beer when I read this. Lame, but it made me laugh. BTW, I'm going without speedo and tach, I've had busted cars where the speedo didn't work, no big deal. I only drive around town and traffic is a good point of reference.
