will knocking down the high points of the welds on my frame hurt anything? I am gonna use filler after they are knocked down. anyone do this and have pics?

2FO-166325 the title says 79 but the manual that came with the bike says 78. it has single front disc and mag wheels. I think its a special.

I am rebuilding my bike and i notice it has the stock locking nuts on some bolts. Can I replace these with the newer style nylon locknuts? What does everybody else do? The replacement nuts are way pricey. Posted via Mobile

I found a nice top triple tree clamp complete with handlebars for my 79 but its off a 83 model will it fit? We're they all the same dimensions?

I am rebuilding my front forks and I want to clean all the old gunk out of the fork tubes and the springs and all. What is recommended?

I am wanting to clean up the triple trees on my 79' I want to get rid of the speedo and tach mount on the upper tree. Will this weaken it at all? If anyone has any pics of theirs cleaned up that would be great.Thanks
