any recommendations on shops to get a nice clean hardtail put on in a reasonable time frame??? 6 weeks would be tops for the wait... no time or skill to do the work.

finally got everything buttoned up on the new bike. she was running pretty darn nice besides a slight stumble around 2k. I noticed after a few miles that power seemed to be down, but nothing too terrible. however after shutting her down found this. did some reading through the archives...

It was a loose connector within the headlight. I didn't even bother to go through and find out what exactly.. opened the bucket and it was right there pulled apart. easy peasy and got a ride in tonite. stocked!

its comin along nicely. this thing looks alot better in person. low and mean. cb360 bars and seat. so far 300$ into it.

battery is good..

bump.... it only has one inline fuse and no fuse box.... ground from battery is secure.

well in an interesting turn of events I got a "new" 78 standard for 700 bucks that workin so my buddy is gonna turn the project bike into a brat tracker style build. pretty much just take over where I left off. any tips for getting those stupid plastic connectors to go back together?

picked this 78 up at a garage sale. sat 20 years got her runnin again but crashed. rebuilding her on days off in a 10 by 10 storage shed. parted her out to put in my civic and unfortunately threw out some important stuff. this my other two rides. wink wink

also going to note that besides the cam guide gone, the only other major issue was the clutch rod is mostly gone (false neutral between shifts sometimes) not sure if I can get the results I want from just top end work.

thanks guys. I think it was the clutch rod seal and combo of chain not being oiled. She's not using hardly a drop now. Loving this bike. Too bad I gotta head to the great white north.
