For Sale - XS650 Aftermarket parts

Haha, guess that's not something you expect to see in a Chicago garage. Lake Michigan is surfable during winter, so it's 7-6-5 wetsuits, lobster claws, and boots the whole time. Totally worth it though.

    My latest build - Ronin 1979 XS650

Here it is as of now, lowered the headlight and the bars. Still feel like something is off with the light. May go and try a smaller bucket and setting it closer to the forks.

    My latest build - Ronin 1979 XS650

    My latest build - Ronin 1979 XS650

bcthomas, the exact bend you'll need depends on where your rearsets are mounted. Since I designed my own brackets, it'll be different than if you buy something that's out there already. By how much is beyond me. With that said, here's a couple shots of the bend. As you can see, it's as close...

    My latest build - Ronin 1979 XS650

The clipons now reside a bit lower, but not as low as most clipons. If I wanted super low and uncomfortable just for looks, I wouldn't have spent the money on adjustables. The kickstart is now bent to accomadate the rearsets, I'll take a picture later and post it up to show the specific...

    My latest build - Ronin 1979 XS650

Thanks for the kind words everyone. While I can't remember the exact year of the tank that I used, it did require a little bit of cutting and welding to make it fit. The tank had two attachment points at the rear, so that was all cut off and I welded on a new, single attachment point made from...

Yep on both accounts. First thing I did was check that the 4 magnets are still in place and that my wiring wasn't loose/dirty/cracked/fried somewhere. Grinder I appreciate your input, thanks for helping out. Andrew

    Contacting Pamcopete?

Can someone steer me in right direction? I've sent emails to the following addresses last Friday: Help@yamahaxs650.com Pete@yamahaxs650.com Pete@Pamcopete.com Used the PM function to send a message through the forum yesterday. Everything I've read regarding pamcopete shows him to have...

    No spark

So I went at testing the coil again. Primary reading is 3.5. Primary to core is infinity. Primary to plugwire is infinity. Wire to wire is 16,000. I've read elsewhere that wire to wire should be about 17,000, is this correct? This is my setup: Ultimate High Output Coil - MikesXS Part...

    No spark

Alright, checked out the pc board on the ignition, doesn't look like anything is fried. The safety diode looks good as far as I can tell. I took some pictures, maybe someone here will see something I missed. I would really rather not have to buy another ignition considering this one is less than...

    No spark

Grinder, didn't check for overcharging, good idea. My battery wasn't killed though, just a little weak at first. As for the kill switch, there is none. All safety switches are removed also, so that eliminates that possibility. Thanks for responding, much appreciated. Andrew
