Yes, you have to register an electric powered vehicle. It's not entirely based on motor size, but can also be based on speed capability. Hence the reason why electric cars have to be registered.

Please don't convert to electric, because then it loses what makes it an XS650.

I had heard many complaints about Mike's XS when it was under it's former ownership, but the recent owners seemed to have stepped up and put customer satisfaction first.

I wonder what the numbers would look like on a rephased motor with cam and 750 or 840 conversion, running 18/32 and a Mike's 5th, with Pamco Ignition and PMA swap with a lightened flywheel, proper exhaust, and a set of Lectron carbs, of course running a 19/16 wheel combo too.

So, my question would be what numbers am I looking at running an 18/32 combo and Mike's 5th with a 16" rear wheel on my '83?

Yup, need the center hub for a 64 spoke XS650 rim. Mine has a chunk missing out of the outer seal lip that the dust seal/spacer fits against. Let me know if you have one and what you want for it. I'm in Southern California in the Inland Empire. Just need the hub,not the whole wheel.
