Has anyone installed a Suzuki gs450E gas tank on their XS650? Pics? How to? I have a nice 450E tank but the mounts are entirely different. I know how this stuff works, try to change one little part and next thing you know, the workbench is littered with tools and a bare frame. :umm:

Woo Hoo!!! I finally got my XS650, a 1978 Special with 12,561 miles on it! After looking for the past 3 months, I finally scored a winner. Bought it from the 2nd owner who had it for 12 yrs and only put 2K miles on it in all that time! It's not perfect, there's a little leak around the head...

Greetings, been riding for a long time, have limited mechanical skills, (once broke 3 fingers hanging a picture...well, it was a big picture!), gonna look at a '79 and an '83 XS650, both have about 25k miles, stock, both are road worthy. The '83 is $500 more though. Any opinions?
