Are '78 Specials essentially same as '79 Specials?

They're very similar, some wiring differences like discontinuance of having a headlight
ON/OFF switch on right handebar control for 79 SF. Both are points ignition and BS 38
Mikuni carbs. Variety of significant changes came with the 80 SG's.

Thanks guys. Decided to go with the '78. I'm getting it from the 2nd owner who's had it for the past 15 yrs. Only 12K miles on it.
The '79 belongs to a kid who got it a month ago and has got it running just to flip it and make a few bucks. I got no problem with that, just there's no maintenance history.
