I have a new Ricks Electric stator for sale. I bought it off Parts Unlimited a little while ago but have since decided to go with the PMA set up. Its been sitting and I am now unable to return it. If given the asking price I will also throw in a set of brand new brushes Stator Part# 2111-0198...

I have been having charging problems with my 81 xs650, the headlight does not come on when the bikes turns on and when i rev the engine the voltage of the battery does not go up. So i checked the brushes and found that one is a lot shorter than the other. I am assuming this is my charging issue...

I have seen some of the debate over PMA vs. stock charging system. Some of the guys have said that at $4 for brushes that is an easy fix so they just stick with the stock setup. I can't remember where I read that or I'd just send a PM. I have looked for the brushes and can't find anywhere close...

Just got out my new trusty Harbor Freight digital caliper http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=47256 and pulled my brushes out to measure them . Inner was 10.72 mm and the outer was 14.41 mm. How long do these last? Bike has about 16000 on it. The manual says new...
