carb jets

Hey guys, just trying to sort carbs out, running BS38s ( 76 xs2 ) pod filters and megaphone exhausts with no baffles and +1.0 oversize bores. I have 40mm needle, #42.5 PJ and #130 MJ. Can I get away with these or is it best to go up a size? I don't know a damn thing about carbs. Have downloaded...

Hey guys, So I started up my bike a while ago for the first time in about 15 years, she sounds great, and all. I bought some new carbs for her, because I broke my old ones. And now I feel like the settings are off. My right exhaust wasn't firing very well, and when I checked the spark plugs...

So...these plugs have very little time on them...no riding, just start/idle for no more than 5 minutes at a time. The bike starts well with full choke...after about 20 seconds, go to half choke...after about 20 seconds...no choke...couple throttle pulls, then she'll sit there on idle fine...

Any carb tuners looking for .018 guitar string to make xsjohn custom 46 pilot jet, pm me address. Saves you having to buy a full set of guitar strings, and only cost me a couple of stamps.
