    How to acheive lower RPM for highway riding

    I have a stock 78' xs650E that runs around 4000 rpm in 5th gear to do 60 mph but the highways around where I live require me to do around 70-75 mph in order to stay safe. Most of my daily riding is done around the city but on weekend road trips or the occasional commute to work the highway...

    Speed/RPM help

    Hey guys hoping someone can help me out. My first build is on the road. Its extremely minimal with no speedo/tach etc. So i was hoping someone can ride their bike with stock gearing and let me know at 4000 rpm what speed in 1-5 gear are you traveling? Im gonna have my bro pace me so i can learn...
