    I need to get this electric starter pinion shaft housing out of my case. There is a casting imperfection behind it and when I bead blasted my case, glass got in there. Anyone ever take this nasty thing out before? Bike will be kick only when done so......

    im putting starter gear back on and just need to know if that wishbone clip is supposed to be in notch in case? is was not in that notch when i took it off, i have seen vids where guys says he thinks it should go there but need to know fo show...lol. ill look at manual to see what they say ..thanks

    Starter gear

    Does anyone have a special fix for the starter problem on our XS's. kinda getting tired of replacing the gear every year. Not really that big of a deal just would like to fix it and have it stay fixed.

    Yanked cover and clutch to get to starter gear. Problem was disengagement of starter. Would grind about 2 seconds after engine fired. Plan was to length spring behind fourth gear to assist in disengagement. Also, tighten wishbone while I was in there. All accomplished and reinstalled...
