Hi folks, I have a 1980 XS850SG (special) and I measured the ignition coil resistance to make sure I am in spec. The factory service manual spec calls for 2.75ohm on Primary and 7.9ohm on Secondary with 10% torelerance on both. Is this secondary spec considers a spark plug cap installed or...

looking all over for a good picture or diagram that shows the order of the coils in relation to the 6 pin unit that seems to control them. Did engine swap and didn't do a good job of remembering. I read that a 650 has no order so wondering if its the same for the 850?

Will buy and pay for shipping USA. Only catch is you gotta know the compression values. Or know it works very well. Would like it with the carb. Thank you. If you know someone with one let me know. What I see on eBay is hit or miss.

I've seen a lot of online success with the 650's, but will the "PAMCO Hall Effect Ignition System" work on an xs850 engine as well? Or, really any solution to get rid of the igniter box.
