18 " rear wheel mag that is

I found a 18 inch rear mag wheel up in the barn .Looks the same as far as spokes go as the front on one of my specials. Did they make a xs650 with a 18" rear mag or is it off of another yamaha .
Has disc brake and cush drive on the sprocket side .
just curious as to what it may be off of . Thinking of using it on one of the other specials and getting rid of 16 " rear.

From what I understand the wheel you have is probably from a RD400. Search & you should find info to make the retro-fit to your 650 much easier than just diving in. I have one also that I picked up cheap on eBay a while back that will go on my street tracker project after pretty much everything else & a summer of riding on the stock 16" rear.

sr500's used a rear 18" mag also
