1948 harley springer and my xs

i have a chance to get a cheap rebuilt spring from 48. anyone know with the right races and bearing would it fit in. it looks better than the dna and is just a it more.

Do a search for the info on here but DON'T pass it up if it's on the cheap. There IS a way to fit it. The DNA is standard like the Harley and the Harley is way better quality. I ride a DNA and have a buddy with an old Harley springer, I'm the jealous one....

or, sell the 48 springer on ebay and buy a whole 'nother xs650. those things are in demand

I sure wouldnt cut up a vintage piece to put on a xs. Im sure you could make money selling it back to a harley restorer.

yeah i could, and id never cut into that. i dont think id have to cut anything. at least not the springer.

You only need to swap the races, no need to cut anything.
