I was wondering if anyone had a picture of a finished set of 1970 mikuni 38 carbs. I've got most of them back together, but I need to see where all the lines go. If anyone has a set, could you post some pics of them?
Thanks a bunch! I have the one for the right carb, I think I need the longer one for the other carb though. Any idea where I'd go to look for that?Your bike is a 1970? Then I believe you have the curved steel band that operates the choke on your right carb, when you depress the choke lever on your left carb. That little piece you have photographed looks ( to me ) to be the choke activation lever for your right carb. The brass nut should be the retaining nut for the choke assembly .
These reference photos are from 2M’s collection, carbs are from a ‘71. Your part circled in red.

I need the pin thing that attaches to the steel band. I have the smaller one, but need the one for the other side. I didn't see it in the diagram there, so I'm not quite sure what to search for.
Thanks a bunch man. Found one and bought it. Little more than I wanted to spend, but that's what I get for losing it.Here’s how to read the parts book, for example this is the part number 43 I was referring to.

The factory part number is the long number beginning with 256. You can do an online search on Google or EBay. Type in Yamaha #256-14977-00 and see what comes up.
