1972 xs650 wheel question

Hi I just purchased my first bike, 1972 xs650.

Mine came w the wire mesh wheels, and I was curious if a set of mags off a 1977 xs500 are a direct bolt on swap?

No, they won't fit. Your front disc mounts in a rather odd fashion and won't swap to the mag.

I'd be careful with "wire mesh" wheels, that sounds unsafe.
