1973 tx650 outer fork tube interchange

I disassembled my fork to change the seals. There is a crack in the area of the seal.
Rather than try to seal the crack I would like to replace it with a good part.
There are some forks from tx500 on ebay. The part numbers for the outer tube are the same except for the prefix. Does anyone know if they are the same.

After closer examination they are not the same. I would delete the post but I dont know how.
