I'm selling my 1976 Yamaha XS650. I've owned this motorcycle for 12 years. The bike is mechanically sound and to my knowledge the engine is original and has never been apart. It has always been garage kept and well maintained. The bike runs extremely well and is in excellent condition. The tank, side covers and frame have been painted with base/clear urethane. Here are the details:
- Approximately 20,700 miles.
- Brand new clutch just installed.
- Fresh oil change.
- Rear tire is 90%. Front tire has good tread but has some cracking.
- Chain and sprockets are in good shape.
- K&N air filters.
- Aftermarket mufflers (not sure of brand but they sound nice).
- Newer front brake pads, rear shoes are good as well.
- Lowering kit.
- Upgraded old rectifier/voltage regulator to a solid state unit.
- New carb-to-head rubber boots.
- Electric starter works well (this is a common problem on these).
- Clean title.
- Aftermarket handlebars.
- Battery is a few years old but seems to be working fine (usually kept on a tender).
I have a lot of spare parts (see pics). Here are the major parts that go with it:
- Spare engine (partially disassembled).
- 2 shop manuals.
- Carb gaskets, different size jets and spark plugs.
- Original air boxes, handlebars, front fender, turn signals and headlight brackets.
I'm asking $2800 (was $3200).
