This may be a dumb question but what would go into lowering the forks back down? Is it just some internal pieces or has the angle of the forks been altered also?
I'd be interested in this if it's a simple swap to get the forks back to stock height. Seems easy enough. I can handle the front master rebuild and this bike is from 1979 which I coincidentally am also .... it has the sentimental factor going for it Only disclaimer is that I'm using tax return money to pay for this and it isn't here yet.
Hey coconut Pete sorry for the delay busy week at work. I have already swapped the front forks back to stock height. I had a replacement set so it was a easy swap.
You let me know when your ready and if the bike is still here maybe we can meet half way. I'm in Johnson City Tn.
