1979 XS650 Special for sale in Bozeman MT. Clear title and plated. Picked up as a barn find a few years ago, all stock except for sissy bar seat. Rode it last summer, but fuel is now coming out of the air filter, so I'm assuming stuck float and needs a carb rebuild. When running it ran well, although it could use a good overall tuneup, I imagine the carb issue was leading to a loss of power. No dents, paint on tank is spiderwebbed, I'm guessing from temperature cycling, needs to be repainted.
Not experienced with classic bikes, looking to see if there's any interest in the $1000 range. If not I may have the carbs rebuilt, do a tune and get her running, and ask a bit more (or keep 'er).
Can post pics if anyone's interested. Could discuss delivery/meeting halfway anyone in the MT-ID-WY-WA-Dakotas area. Actually I'll go just about anywhere if you pay half gas
