Hey guys I have a really clean 1979 xs650 to sell. I'm located in Canton, OH. You can call or text me at 330-SevenNineFour-3014
The bike starts up and runs pretty good. Everything works on it, a few things I did to it was install a new battery and lube up the piston in the rear brake caliper. You might notice in the pictures the bike either looks blue or purple, well it's chameleon paint. It looks blue most of the time then when sun hits it then it looks purple.
It shows 35,000 miles but the PO said the engine was rebuilt 5 years ago and when I pulled the covers off to check the valve lash, it looked like it had new tappet screws installed and the lash was pretty much spot on. I compression tested it and showed about 130psi each cylinder cold. If the engine idles for a long time then you rev it up it burns a little oil, that is symptomatic of the valve guides letting oil by. Not really a big issue, could either replace the valve guides or leave it alone.
Since it's a really clean bike I'm asking $1500 and that's my number, I've had multiple offers at 12 and 13 but I'm holding out for the 1500, I think it's worth it.
