what pistons do you recommend for a stock 1980 xs650 that has .10 on the cylinder?

Try Hoos Racing, they have 700cc pistons.
The 010 on the sleeve is part of the bore diameter. The bore is 75.010 mm.
On your piston top you will find a 3 digit number, this is parts of the piston diameter. On yours it will be somewhere around 958. The actual size is 74.958.
You subtract the piston size from the bore size to get the clearance. The factory spec is .050 - .055 mm
These are the sizes when it was stock. If you tear it down and measure or have a machine shop measure your cylinders and pistons and find they exceed the clearance spec you need a rebore.
Other than the fact those numbers denote stock sizes they are meaningless.
Measure what you have to determine if new parts are needed.
If you just want to go with a bigger bore then go for it. The 707 pistons are about the biggest that fit in the stock cylinders. Any bigger and the sleeves get to thin.
