71 frame question

i was just looking at my 71 frame and getting to brat style the seat rails and notice that the left ( sprocket side) shock mounts is offset? the right ( brake side ) one seems to be square with the down tube but the left one seems to be more to the outside. any thoughts?

my 81 is offset to the right. I just made sure the shocks are parallel and welded it up. It is not really noticeable by eye.
