Does this look like the throat of a 74-75 BS38?

Do they use the same A float bowl as the 70-73?

Should it have a ramp inside the throat of the air filter side like the 70-73 carbs or should it be smooth like the picture? Is the lack of this ramp why it went from the long Z-6 needle jet to the short?

These carbs came with a parts lot and may not even by for an XS650. The brass was all mismatched so all I am going off of is the short Z-6 Needle jet.

Yes, they could be '74-'75 650 carbs. The raised floor and corresponding long Z-6 needle jet ended with the '73 carbs. Along with the short Z-6, the needle was also changed to a 4N8 or 4NO8. The float bowls should swap because they all used the BS30/96 type pilots but the castings may vary slightly.
