Hello,
I have a 1974 and on the bottom of the carbs there are plastic nipples at a 90%. They leaked gas onto my engine. What do i do with these? Is there a line that is suppose to run from that down to the ground? Or does it go back into the carb? ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!
THANK YOU!

Normally nothing on the barbs. The barb (nipple) is there to allow for measuring the float bowl level and to drain the carbs using a temporary tube.

If they are passing fuel then you want to remove the drain screw and you should find a copper washer. The copper washer is what makes the seal. Maybe your copper washers are missing or they are just plain worn out and need replacing.

those are the overflow outlets there is a brass tube in the float bowl that they lead to
1. float needle valves leaking = over flowing carbs
2. float levels set wrong = over flowing carbs
3. brass tube may be cracked = carbs tries to fill but fuel runs out of nipples
most people do run hoses to ground off those nipples to keep fuel off top of engine cases 74 carbs not not have a drain screw, can't check fuel/float level with those nipples the upper end is above normal fuel level
