A few months ago I get a text from a buddy with a craiglist ad.
The ad is for 2 xs650 engines for cheap. It was posted a few hours before I saw it, so I text the guy, ask if he would take 20 less if I picked up in two hours. He would. Sweet.

Problem, this was at 9am, I work at noon, the engines were 75 miles away. F' it, let's do this. Took quick shower (was working on my Trump at the time of the text) and drove there.
Loaded up the engines and carbs and other misc parts.

First thing I notice, a decompression release on one of the engines...well this this isn't a normal xs engine. Then I notice the other is a bit different from my old xs engine also, so I look at the numbers...

Well, that's awesome, an xs1 engine and a tx engine.

Started scouring craigslist, here, and ebay for a frame. Finally found a titled frame on ebay for $150. Setup shipping through uship, got the frame here for a little less than what I paid (could have probably found a cheaper frame than $300, but got tired of looking)

Got craig over at Front Street working on some bars for me. Got some ideas in my head. Waiting till November to start so I can do the build off. Plus I still have my triumph to finish.

Here's some inspiration I have though:

Not sure of what tank I will be running, but it wont be a sporty tank. Already had an xs with one of those on there.
Speaking of that, here is a pic of my old xs:

And the most recent pics of the triumph:

Now it's a waiting game, for November and cash for parts. Goal is to be under a grand.
