I pressed out the stock xs650 fork stem and pressed it into the springer lower triple tree but now notice that the springer tree is flat at the bottom and the xs tree has a spacer/lip where the bottom race sits. i was wondering if i could make a spacer ( approx 1/4 high ) and slide it over the stem to press the bearings and lower race in to the lower top race. without it the forks are just to tight and won't turn at all. Does the spacer have to fixed to the lower stem or can it be just slide onto the stem and float free? 2nd question i got my suzuki savage rear wheel done and now need some help with rear wheel spacers. anyone know what the spacing is on both sides? I have to make up the spacers so if i at least know how far away the sprocket is ithat would help thanks
