I went to the storage unit today and figured it was time to fire up the lil XS650.
Pulled the choke knobs up, turned on the gas, turned on the ignition and hit the button.
...Cranked about twice and fired right up. sweet (It's been setting since November).
I couldn't help myself, I rode it home on expired plates, with no insurance.
It's back in the shop ready to get wiped down, checked out and made legal again.
Fun little bike, come on spring!!

It's a 1980 Heritage. I'm in the Cd'A area.
Pic is a couple years old, but that's still exactly what it looks like.

I agree with @650Skull. Everything about your bike says 1981 XS650H or Special II.

FWIW, the Heritage Special is 1982 & 1983 only (excepting Canadian models)
Here's my Heritage with non stock wheels.

Is dosen't really matter. What does matter is if you try to replace some cosmetic parts, for whatever reason. The 80G SII has parts that will not swap onto the 80SG and later models........They will not swap onto your bike..........Just a heads up
