Altrenator wires

Should there be 6 wires coming from the alternator? Mine has 5 lol. I see alot of people talking about the brown wire giving them 9 kinds of hell. Well mine don't even have a brown wire to give me hell haha but this could be why the bike isn't charging to it's a 1979 let me know what ya think

O yeah I have the pamco and the solid state rectifier/regulator. Lol. Might help to know

The connector plug from the alternator has 6 pins. 5 have wires coming from the alternator, but Yamaha snug in a 6 th wire, a light blue from the neutral switch.

The brown wire only applies to the 80 to 83 years...............supplies battery +12 volts to the brushes.
