No, no, don't look away so soon!!
Here we have the ultimate mustn't have.
A pillar drill that is, just, better than not having one at all.
Or is it?
Come to think of it you might just be better off using a lump of flint or a rock and piece of pointy bone.
Seriously this machine does do all it manufacturers claim it will but in the most primitive way.
It vibrates enough to make cream into butter, so don't use it in a dairy!
It's got enough play in the chuck to make ovals of any size hole, no matter how good the drill bit is.
If you're brave enough to use it at the higher speeds you'd better make sure it's secured direct to the planet.
Anything less will see it wandering around the solar system further than Voyager 1.
.. In fact make sure it's strapped down even when switched off.
It could be a good investment in the way that Sinclair C5's are- or aren't?
If you really need it you'll have to come and collect it, I'll have a counsellor on hand to check you know what you're doing.
It's actually had very little usage over the years.
The depth of cut guide is broken, as shown in the pics.
It could possibly be stuck back in place, if you think the expenditure on glue is really worth it.
The drive belt's in good condition. Well I had to say something positive!
And it has a chuck key for the ..errr... chuck, of course.

I'm starting this auction a 99 pence just to pay for the time taken to write this.
Good luck if you're bidding.
God help you if you win.
By the way it comes with the drill press vice thingy shown.,
Thinks.. maybe I should be selling this and throwing in the pillar drill..??
It's a Wickes what else would you expect?
