so i promise when i get a spare moment and i'm not in the shop when i'm at home i will start a build-ish thread, but...in the meantime, i cleaned of a load of shop grease and oil off some of the engine and found these very crooked stamped numbers K6 21...( i know i have a 70' xs1) but i don't know what these numbers are.

I'll take a shot......those letters and numbers verify that your head and rocker box is a matched set. The cam bearing journals are machined with the head and rocker box mated up, other parts may not match up after that.

Am I right guys, or am I right?
