Another newbie

Another newbie checking in from MD. Been around bikes almost all my life and riding a few years but this will be my first bobber (I guess thats what we'll call it we will see how it goes). Found a 12k miles 82 XS650S Heritage Special that I pick up Saturday. Supposedly with a new battery will be a runner but I'll believe that when it happens.

Haha I don't know about that TC this will be mine and my boys first attempt with an XS so I am sure we have plenty of wrench throwing in our future.

Welcome from a neighbor to the south! I live near Charlottesville, VA and just picked up my '79 Standard with 7100 miles yesterday. The bike is stock and runs well.....the PO used it for daily commute until our weather dropped down to polar levels recently. Will be starting a cafe build soon....hope to post pics as I go......
