Anyone a member of the Bonneville 130mph or 150mph club on a XS650?

Lol, good ole Burt. Great movie, but the real story is amazing.
I get a kick out of 50cc S-BF. 121.700 mph on a NSU in '56. Actually just reading the records is interesting.

I'm in the process of building out an engine for my XS to take to BUB in 2012.

Ported head, titanium oversized valves/retainers, springs, bronze guides
Web Camshafts 59a grind
MikesXS 750cc kit
MikesXS taller 5th gear
Pamco 277 ignition
277 rephase

Will likely pair it up with re-jetted VM34's (what I have on the current stock engine)

We'll see how fast she goes in the 'Run What Ya Brung' class. Hoping to have a bunch of friends out there - make an event of it.

Sweet looking XS you got there:thumbsup: For the Bonnie,me personally I'd install the Cr500 rods with some Ross pistons and let those L/Rs pull you through the top end

Couldn't get to over the 105mph mark had me tuning fork ears on and the steady Humm was music to my ears....next I'll try discerning what key she is...
