Anyone had mikesxs gauges apart?

So I got my bike running last night and my used regulator ended up being bad sending 25v or so to everything and I fried the backlights in both of my gauges. They are the 1.9" gauges. I was going to take them apart to paint them and it looks like the top ring is crimped around the edge. Anyone know how to get these apart?

I'm looking for the same answer. i think there throw away gages no way to get them apart without wrecking them.
if you have any luck let me know. I had 1 of the wires pull out.
