The family is selling this bike. It is a rephased XS650B. 277 crank. I believe it has Newtronics ignition, Corbin seat, Tkat brace, etc. It has not moved in about five years (maybe 8) or since the owner got sick. PM me and I will put you in touch with someone who can sell it to you. I've known the bike and the family for over 20 years and I'm posting on their behalf.
The original front fender is there, also a couple of frames that I believe have titles, and an engine plus other XS650 parts.

Oh yeah I remember that quote LOL
"When Mike Davis put this bike together he ground the YAMAHA off the right side engine cover. At the local motorcycle resort (TWO) on a usual busy weekend, the bike attracted some attention as you might expect. I distinctly heard someone say, "Cherokee Scout. I remember those.""
Any Idea on the # for the mini collection?

Four bikes. One is gone. Remaining are two XS650 frames, both standards. A XS650 engine. Miscellaneous parts. An 06 FJR that looks very nice. There is also what appears to be a very nice 750 Midnight Virago. The Virago looks as though removing the dust will make it look new.

I rode alongside this bike a number of years ago at the Dogwood rally. I was on my French Blue 650C and my buddy Ed was on his 'black and gold 75 Norton 850. Good times.

I remember you! I was riding my Heritage Special.
I revived the Dogwood for a couple of years, then made a move to Mississippi.

Those Yam FJR were one heck of a Sport Touring mount. My old neighbor had one just like that one, I remember he sold it to a guy who came over from AL or MS to get it, we all went for ride up around the mountains and they were a bit ahead of me on my V-rod. When I caught up they had been pulled over by the PoPo on US 129 over Blood Mtn. I cruised by and waited on them at the bottom. Guess the fellow must have been satisfied with his first ride as he then rode it back home.

Wow - that is a really sharp looking cafe bike - very nicely done!
Yes, and bringing it back is as easy as cleaning it up from sitting. It was miserable cold when I went there, so I had no interest in dropping a float bowl or anything else. I believe there are interested parties who will protect it from the trash heap, but it should be worth at least a few dollars.

I watched prior to and after the Tv presentation.... A " Flying Dragon " 450 Honda.. really.. $52,000.oo Yikers !

What would be a fair $ value to acquire this bike? (Range)
