bad cheese?

Something smells here, this is the washer behind the 28mm clutch basket nut.
This bend can't be right can it? Don't know what it looked like before I spun the nut off with an electric impact. Should I bang it flat(er) before re-installation??

Thats a lock tab. It was probably folded over one side of the nut to keep it from spinning. You can probably pound it flat and reuse it, but new one's are available from Mike's. Looks like it might be worth replacing. Seems like maybe it's been used a couple of times.
