Battery Question

So I have to buy a battery as my 74 TX650 came with out one. A YTX14AHL-BS(AGM) and YB14L-A2(Lead Acid) are both 12N14 style batteries and compatible correct? For the love of God every site I check quotes a different style and fitment.

Pretty much the 14 is the important part. The other thing to look for the correct location of the + and - terminals for the battery connection on your bike.

All I can say for sure it would fit just fine in my 74 TXA and 78 special. YMMV As long as your red cable is on the right your fine.

Just confirm that alignment as previous owners tend to do weird things to wiring.

Yes, with the terminals facing the rear, you want the positive on the right, the negative on the left .....
